The Lakers has this long list for a new headcoach, and I agree with a lot of these pre-qualifications. My question is, why is JJ name even mentioned. This guy has only coached a youth league! I'm pretty sure you can't say a man who has no coaching experience is a grinder, developer of talent, etc.

The biggest takeaway for me is not necessarily tohe singular act of Darvin getting fired. I already got the relief and joy of Ham getting canned. What makes me happy here is that we are seeing AD assert himself. We already saw his play surpass Bron in last year's run to the Western Conference finals, due to Bron's injury. We are now starting to see signs from different areas of AD owning his position as THE GUY.

The chances the Lakers will compete for a title any time soon are probably slim to none. A lot of talk about bringing a 3rd. star or a legitimate 2 way PG/SG or drafting or trading for a big man but all plans will probably come short of the intended goal. Instead of the Lakers trying to please LeBron or build their future plans on false hopes, something drastic may make more sense. I'm suggesting resigning then trading LeBron along with AD! This way the team will most likely get some decent players and a few valuable draft picks to use for a sound future rebuild. Let's face it, with or without AD & LeBron the Lakers have NO chance of winning an NBA title in the near future. So why not think about the future and do it right? Sign a legitimate GM with NBA experience and a coach with some NBA experience under good systems.
